We’re incredibly excited to be able to welcome people back to our cocktail bar in Waterloo, but we know that it all looks and feels a little different to how it did pre-lockdown.
So, what should you be aware of when it comes to socialising in this era of social distancing? What are the rules you need to follow and what can you expect us to do?
Firstly, if you’re going to a bar like ours that has outdoor space, you can meet in groups of up to six people and you can be from different households, as iNews recently explained. You also need to keep a distance of at least one metre between people from outside your household, preferably two metres if possible.
However, if you are going to sit indoors, you can only meet with people from one other household and the maximum group size is still restricted.
For the time being, this means you can’t just bump into people that you know at your favourite bar and join them for a drink. We know that this makes socialising feel a little different and less fluid, but we’re here to help you navigate this new normal.
There’s also been a bit of confusion in the press recently over whether you have to wear a facemask when you’re in a pub, bar or restaurant. The current advice, as the Manchester Evening News explained, is that if you’re in a venue with table service where you’ll be eating and/or drinking, you don’t need to wear a mask.
We are Covid-19 secure trained, so if you have any questions about the rules when you come for a cocktail, just ask one of our team.
